7 Days in the Balkans — Couple's Cultural & Coastal Route
A fast-moving but rewarding loop through Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Greece. Seven days is tight for seven cities — expect travel days to eat into sightseeing, but the route is doable with early starts. This preview covers the first 7 days of a 21-day trip — claim it to build the full itinerary with Voyaige.

Before You Go
Book the Saranda–Corfu ferry in advance online; seats sell out fast in early September.
Book the Corfu–Athens flight at least 2 weeks out to avoid price spikes on this short route.
Reserve accommodation in Dubrovnik and Kotor early — both are heavily booked in September.
Arrange the Kotor–Tirana shared transfer through your Kotor hotel before arrival day.
Download Maps.me with offline Balkans maps; Google Maps coverage is patchy in rural Albania.
Good to Know
Seven cities in seven days means at least three travel days — accept that two cities will feel rushed, likely Tirana and Kotor.
Carry euros; Bosnia uses BAM but euros are accepted widely, and Albania and Montenegro are euro-friendly.
The Dubrovnik city walls ticket also covers Fort Lovrijenac — don't buy them separately.
In Albania, furgons (shared minivans) are faster and cheaper than official buses but depart when full, not on a fixed schedule.
Sarajevo and Mostar are the emotional and historical highlights of this route — if pressed for time, cut Tirana to a half-day not Mostar.
Early September in Dubrovnik is still peak season with full crowds; the walls open at 8 AM — go then or regret it.
Keep your Corfu layover loose — the ferry can run late and missing a prepaid flight is an expensive mistake.
